Where to stay
Stone Town is the old trading town of carved doors, markets and rooftop sunsets; one or two nights is enough. The north coast (Nungwi and Kendwa) has swimming at any tide and long sunsets. The east coast is quieter, with a wide tidal lagoon that is good for families and kite-surfers.
